On April 21st, 1948 testing began on the transmitter of radio station KSUH in Susanville, California. Local business owners James McKahan and Nolan Hollowell launched the station dedicated to "serving our community" and for the last 60 years KSUE (as the station was renamed in July of 1948) has remained true to that calling. Continuously broadcasting to the community of Susanville.
Over the years 1240 KSUE has participated in community events, passed along important information at the most crucial of times and most importantly has helped our community to grow and prosper. We thank our listeners, without whom we would have no purpose, we thank our advertisers, without whom we could not exist, and we thank the staff and alumni who over the last sixty years have made the station what it is today.
Thank you Susanville for the last 60 years! |
