Rod Chambers began his broadcast career in 1974 at Buck Owens owned KNIX, Phoenix.
Rod's broadcast career took him to the gulf coast where he became administrative assistant for a broadcast group. Rod spent most of the 80's overseeing sales at KVON/KVYN, Napa Valley, CA. before forming Sierra Broadcasting, Corp. which purchased KSUE/KJDX in 1989.
In 1987 KHJQ was built and signed on the air as Susanville's second commercial FM service. Today Rod continues as President, General Manager of The Sierra Radio Network based in Susanville.
Rod sits on the Radio Board of the National Assn Of Broadcasters.
He is also an Executive Board Member on the California Broadcasters Assn and also serves as a board member on the International Broadcasters Idea Bank.
